Cynthia has been teaching at ULDA since 1980. She holds an M.A. in dance from the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Louisville. She served as an officer/executive board member of Regional Dance America/Southeastern Regional Ballet Association for 15 years. She has also developed and/or oversees numerous outreach programs that include dance literacy programs and a ballet program for training figure skaters.

Chuck has been teaching at the Academy since 1981. He holds a B.A. in English from Bellarmine. In addition to teaching at the Academy, he has created dance integration workshops for JCPS teachers, has lesson plans published in the KET Dance Toolkit, and has won awards for choreography including the William Habich Scholarship at the Southeastern Regional Ballet Association Festival and the Al Smith Fellowship from the Kentucky Arts Council.

Theresa Bautista
Theresa is a graduate of Indiana University and on the Dance Faculty for the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. She teaches extensively in the Kentuckiana area and produces The Moving Collective, which she created.
